SAF110 BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS – 8HR

The target audience for this program includes administrators, managers, or other personnel responsible for developing a Bloodborne Pathogens ECP. The course covers the development and implementation of Exposure Control Plans (ECP) for healthcare facilities. Students will learn:

  • The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard
  • How to determine potential exposure
  • Methods of control
  • How to develop an ECP
  • About vaccinations
  • Incident exposure
  • Training protocols
  • Record keeping

Students will develop an ECP template and be able to take a step-by-step approach in developing an ECP for their healthcare facility, while utilizing the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard as a reference.
