SAF103 30-HR GENERAL INDUSTRY
30-hr OSHA authorized training in occupational safety and health for workers who are involved in general industry. Students will receive mandatory, elective, and optional training including:
Mandatory Topics (12-hr)
- Intro to OSHA
- Managing Safety and Health
- Walking and Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention and Fire Protection
- Electrical
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Hazard Communication
- Materials Handling
- Hazard Communication
Elective (At least two topics and 10-hr requirement)
- Hazardous Materials
- Permit-Required Confined Space
- Lockout Tagout
- Machine Guarding
- Welding, Cutting, Brazing
- Introduction to Industrial Hygiene
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Ergonomics
- Fall Protection
- Safety and Health Programs
- Powered Industrial Vehicles
Optional (hazards, policies or expand topics listed above and 8-hr requirement). Upon completion, students will receive the OSHA sanctioned 30-hr wallet card.
