AHA101R ACLS Provider – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Renewal
The audience for this renewal course includes Physicians, PA’s, Nurse practitioners, Nurses, EMS personnel, and Respiratory Therapists.
The course includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as the team leader. Students will learn the:
- Importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival
- Integration of effective basic life support with ACLS interventions
- Importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.
To prepare for the class students should:
- Review ACLS Pre-Course Welcome Letter sent to you
- Complete ACLS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Test found on page ii in the ACLS book and on our web site and bring to class
- Review ACLS Algorithms
- Review ACLS Pharmacology
- Review and understand Cardiac Rhythms:
- High Degree AV Blocks

- Supraventricular Tachycardia
- Ventricular Fibrillation
