Basic Life Support (BLS) Courses

Covers one and two-rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants. Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is covered along with what to do if someone is choking.

AHA105 BLS INSTRUCTOR – INITIAL

Certifies the student to teach the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Safety for Healthcare provider course and the skills check.  It also includes the ability to conduct the AHA Heartsaver courses including First-Aid, CPR, AED, Pediatric First-Aid, CPR in Schools, Bloodborne Pathogens and Family and Friends CPR.

AHA105R BLS INSTRUCTOR – RENEWAL

During this class you will renew your ability to conduct the AHA Heartsaver courses including First-Aid, CPR, AED, Pediatric First-Aid, CPR in Schools, Bloodborne Pathogens and Family and Friends CPR.

AHA106 BLS PROVIDER – INITIAL

Basic Life Support (BLS) Classroom is a traditional Instructor led course that covers one and two rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants. Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is covered along with what to do if someone is choking. A written test will be administered along with a skills assessment during the course.

AHA106R BLS PROVIDER – RENEWAL

Renewal of the 2-year Basic Life Support (BLS) Class.  This is a traditional Instructor led course that covers one and two rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants.

OC106 HEARTCODE® BLS ONLINE – BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal Basic Life Support (BLS) Course. This course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

This 30-minute session is taken once the online portion is completed. You can register for an in-person skills check session below. Please bring your Photo I.D. and a copy of the course completion certificate. We only recognize American Heart Association (AHA) certificates.
